Frequently asked questions
Are my SSH keys sent to your servers?
No. LK Vault uses a Zero-Knowledge architecture. Your keys are encrypted with a master key that never leaves your computer. During cloud sync, only the encrypted version is sent.
How does Cloud sync work?
The application connects to our API (hosted in Europe) and uses OAuth 2.0 (Google/GitHub) to identify you. Before any transmission, your configs are encrypted in AES-256 GCM using your local master password.
Can I import my current configuration?
Importing from .ssh/config and from other tools (like Termius or MobaXterm) is in development and will arrive in the next minor update.
Is the tool available on Mac and Linux?
Currently, LK Vault is optimized for Windows 10/11. macOS (Apple Silicon) and Linux (AppImage) versions are in private beta.
